Property Maintenance and Lawn Care

01  Weekly Lawn Cutting

Grass cutting will take place weekly, weather conditions permitting. During the growing season, a grass height of approximately 3 to 3.5 inches will be maintained on the property.

The following actions will be carried out on a regular basis:

Weekly grass cutting with clippings collection.
Weekly trim lines around trees, flower beds and light poles.
Weekly edging of parking lots and pedestrian paths.
Weekly collection of debris and garbage in gardens and areas surrounding the property.

02  Fertilizer and Weed Control Program

Our weed control and fertilizer program comprises six (6) applications throughout the year, allowing us to effectively address weed problems as they arise and keep your lawn nourished at all times.

This approach benefits the development of root systems, encourages the growth of new areas of grass, and facilitates the recovery of areas affected by constant traffic and pest damage. Additionally, it replaces nutrients depleted due to drought and cutting activity.

Applications are scheduled every 5-6 weeks, varying depending on weather conditions. The calendar can be adjusted in case of heavy rain, drought and/or high temperatures. We use a fertilizer in the form of a dry granular mixture and a herbicide in the form of a liquid mixture. Our equipment is designed to carry out both applications simultaneously.

03  Spring/Fall Clean Up

During the spring and fall seasons, the primary need arises to prepare the lawn and garden beds for the upcoming season.

Spring bed clearing will be carried out in late March or April and involves removing debris, trimming ornamental grasses, pruning rose bushes and cutting down perennials that benefit from this action. Upon request, horizontal bed edging can be included.

On the other hand, autumn bed cleaning will take place between late October and November and will include the removal of debris, trimming of ornamental grasses and perennials that require cutting, as well as the collection of fallen leaves. If preferred, ornamental grasses can be left intact.

The application schedule is established every 5-6 weeks, adjusting according to weather conditions. In case of heavy rainfall, drought or high temperatures, the calendar can be modified. For these applications, we use a fertilizer in the form of a dry granulated mixture and a herbicide in the form of a liquid mixture. Our equipment is designed to apply both products simultaneously.

04  Seasonal Grub Treatment

Our larvae treatment program ensures the health of your trees and garden during the fall and spring seasons, periods when larvae typically hatch. This treatment, which is non-invasive and safe for other species, has as its main objectives to attack the larvae at their source to prevent their emergence, promote the recovery of grasses, trees and other plants damaged in the past, and avoid costly replanting processes. of roots in your garden. These applications are carried out twice a year to ensure continuous protection of your garden throughout all seasons..

05  Spring/Fall Trimming

Pruning ornamental trees, such as lilacs, redbuds and hydrangeas, is recommended twice a year. However, each species of ornamental shrub or tree requires a specific approach in terms of the most suitable season and pruning technique; For example, you should not prune a bush in full bloom. Each bush requires a particular pruning method.

Proper pruning encourages healthy growth, preserving the plant's natural shape. Additionally, it promotes vigorous growth, more flowers, and an overall sturdier bush. Lack of pruning can result in a lack of sunlight and nutrients for the inner branches of the plant, causing unbalanced and weakened growth that can lead to deterioration or thinning over time.

06  Spring/Fall Seeding

Overseeding can be done twice a year, in April and October, with the goal of improving the overall health and appearance of your lawn. Basically, it involves spreading seed over your existing lawn. The benefits of this practice are diverse, including:

Repair of areas damaged by seasonal stress, diseases or pests.
Increased density and thickness in sparsely populated lawns.
Strengthening the resistance of grass against insects and diseases.

07  Spring/Fall Trimming

Lawn aeration can be carried out twice a year, in April and October, in order to optimize air circulation in the soil. This process contributes to decompacting the soil, generating holes that promote vigorous root growth, while facilitating the grass's access to water and the nutrients necessary for its healthy development.

Spring Pre- Emergent

Pre-emergent is a herbicide to prevent the growth of weeds such as crabgrass, spurge and clover in spring. Its early application is crucial for optimal effectiveness, although it does not ensure total elimination of weeds.

Aeration

Central aeration can be carried out to enhance air flow in the soil. This technique helps loosen the soil, and the resulting holes promote healthy root development, also improving the grass's access to water and nutrients. Entrust the care of your home or business to our team.

Seeding

Overseeding is recommended to improve the health and overall appearance of your lawn. Essentially, grass overseeding involves spreading seed over your existing lawn. It is essential to consider that if the area has been fertilized, spring planting should be carried out 6 to 8 weeks after the first application of fertilizer.

Grub Treatment

Grub represent one of the most harmful types of pests for lawns. These constitute the immature phase, known as larvae, of the beetles. Typically, beetles lay their eggs in grass, burying them beneath the soil surface. Upon hatching, the larvae emerge hungry and feed on the roots of the grass.
