With irregular and angular edges, rip rap is designed to provide slope stability as well as erosion control. Used around larger decorative ponds and in retention ponds.

Best used as a base for paver bricks and to be spread between the cracks of flagstone walkways or patios. Compacts well, meaning not useful for drainage areas.
